The city's buildings feature timber and earth construction, with most buildigns first floors resembling mounds of earth, with subsequent floors appearing as elaborate log cabins, with each building forming a tiered pyramid of sorts fromed from the stack of rectangular, peek roofed cabins. Most wooden bracing, support, and trim is carved with decorative knotwork, and the larger structures even feature painted trim which emphasises the knotwork.

Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of restrictive worn bedrock streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The city is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the city's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè's top tier civilian fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

History

A vast influx of newcomers over the last 1 years has greatly spiked Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè's population. They may have been drawn by economic opportunities, or fled some pursuing peril, or been forcibly moved there by a ruler who wanted to dilute the existing native cohesion. The natives may not have the resources or opportunities to integrate these newcomers, and it may be that the new population has no desire to stay longer than is necessary.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè was attacked by savage tribes living nearby Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè lost 278 people, 244 livestock, and 22 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 101, when members of Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè's militia enacted an operation to patrol a specific area to dissuade the enemy from their current activities. The operation was complicated by the army being put into a position where they could only choose between two terrible options. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in defeat for Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Ëlê-anëfê Sêdè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
